Last updated: May 6, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the Shared Location Calendar add-on, you agree to
these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the
add-on.
2. Description of Service
Shared Location Calendar is a free Google Calendar add-on that allows you
to share your general location and availability with others. It creates a
separate calendar showing only your approximate city/country and merged
busy time blocks — no private event details are ever shared.
3. Free Service
Shared Location Calendar is provided free of charge for personal use.
There are no subscription fees or in-app purchases.
4. Your Responsibilities
By using this add-on you agree to:
- Use the add-on only for lawful personal purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the add-on
- Take responsibility for who you share your calendar link with
- Understand that anyone with your shareable link can subscribe to your
availability calendar
5. Your Calendar Link
When you publish your calendar, you receive a shareable link. You are
solely responsible for managing who has access to this link. To revoke
access, delete the shared calendar from your Google Calendar settings or
change its visibility.
6. Google Services
This add-on runs entirely within Google's infrastructure — Google Apps
Script, Google Calendar, and optionally Google Maps. Your use of this
add-on is also subject to Google's Terms of Service at
https://policies.google.com/terms and Google Calendar's Terms of Service.
7. No Warranty
This add-on is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or
implied. The developer does not warrant that the add-on will be error-free,
uninterrupted, or always available. Calendar sync may be delayed by up to
3 hours by design.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable
for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising
from your use of or inability to use this add-on, including but not limited
to loss of data or unintended disclosure of availability information.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims,
damages, or expenses arising from your use of the add-on or violation of
these terms.
10. Changes to the Add-On
The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the
add-on at any time without notice.
11. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the
top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the
add-on after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United
States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
